This special issue of estrema: interdisciplinary journal of humanities is the result of a partnership with the organizing committee of the first Scientific Initiation Journeys of the BA in Languages, Literatures and Cultures of the School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon. This activity, which took place between January and June 2024, was attended by around thirty students from all study cycles.
Exceptionally and within the spirit of the project, the double blind peer review process was enacted by volunteer postgraduate students.
